Studio Policies
We have set out our expectations here so that everyone can have an enjoyable experience at Ferns y.b.p.
General Expectations
By joining any class or workshop, you agree to our terms.
Please arrive to class 5 minutes before the start time. This means that you will have enough time to take your shoes off, speak with the teacher, and get settled on your mat. Latecomers will not be admitted, and it will count as a no-show.
Please do book your class in advance. We do not accept walk-ins.
Our studio is a haven of tranquillity. Please remove your outdoor shoes before entry and turn your mobile phones to silent throughout the practice.
We suggest you wear comfortable clothing that is easy for you to move in and we recommend bare feet or ‘grip socks’.
You may wish to bring your own water bottle.
We lock the door to the studio during classes. This ensures a peaceful, safe environment for you to practice in.
We recommend that you do not bring valuables to class if you can avoid doing so. We cannot accept liability for any items lost, therefore all items are left at your own risk. We may pass any lost property items to a local charity shop if they remain uncollected after 14 days.
We supply mats and equipment. We use mats designed and made by Wuufly because they are exceptional as well as being an ethical UK brand. Of course, if you prefer, please do bring your own.
Only service pets are allowed on site. Please speak to us ahead of booking if you will be bringing a service animal. If you have any additional needs, including a learning need, please ensure that you make this known to us, so that we can support you in the best possible way.
We take your safety seriously, please do tell us if you have any particular health needs, for example, new injuries you are unsure how to move with, pregnancy, any particular health predispositions.
We have a toilet and a changing room. We don’t have a shower.
Cancellations & Waitlist
Cancellations must be made at least six hours before the start time of your class in order to not incur a charge.
If you cancel within the late cancellation window you will lose your credit.
If you do not show up for your class you will lose your credit and incur a fee. This is to ensure that other, waiting clients are able to take up available spaces whenever possible.
Clients who have purchased unlimited monthly or annual packages and who cancel within the late cancellation window or fail to arrive for their class will incur a fee.
If you join the class from the waitlist before the opening of the late cancellation window, house booking and cancellations rules apply and you will be required to abide by our late cancellation and no-show policy.
If you are joining the class from the waitlist within the late cancellation window, there are no penalties for no-show or late cancellations
Latecomers
Due to the layout of our building, we are unable to accept latecomers to the studio. Please ensure you arrive at least 5 minutes ahead of the start of your class to give yourself time to prepare and settle on your mat. Our door is locked 2 minutes before the start of the class. Latecomers will not be refunded.
Removal from Class
All our teachers have the right to remove any client from a class at our discretion if we feel that a client’s behaviour creates a threatening, unsafe or unpleasant environment.
If you have been removed from a class, a refund will not be made.
We reserve the right to remove a client completely from all our classes should this be necessary. In such a scenario no refund will be made for pre-paid classes or membership.
